Industrial Buzz - Boaters can now avoid injuries and costly boat damage during docking thanks to a new boat docking device called the Landing Loop. Manufactured in Illinois, the clever boat docking invention allows a boat mate to effortlessly lay a docking line over a cleat, piling, or post from as far as 8 - 10 feet away.

"With the Landing Loop, you never have to jump off your boat again while docking," says Allen Greenberg, inventor of the product as well as an avid boater. "The Landing Loop makes boat docking easy, even if there’s nobody around to assist you, or if there's a strong wind or current. If you can get within 8 - 10 feet of the dock, you can tie up easily with the Landing Loop."

Installation consists of tying a slip knot at the end of your existing dock line, and placing it over the Landing Loop’s telescoping pole. It's then ready to use. The Landing Loop can be used on power boats, sail boats and houseboats up to 75 feet. The pole collapses to less than four feet for easy storage.
It’s been tested on cleats up to 18 inches wide and pilings up to 14 inches in diameter, and works especially well when trying to tie to the center posts between slips.

The patent-pending Landing Loop(trademark) is already being used in nearly all 50 states, on the Great Lakes, East and West Coasts, and on inland rivers. Boaters in Canada, Australia, Alaska, Italy, Bermuda, The Virgin Islands, and Mexico are using the handy device as well.
